The British government is set to progress with employing the entire amount of seized Russia's funds to aid Ukraine's war effort, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a collective announcement, the officials of the Britain, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this joint measure would escalate tension on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and urge Russia to come to the table.

They clarified that the initiative would be implemented in strong partnership with the America.

UK restrictions have frozen more than £25bn of Russia's funds since Moscow initiated its comprehensive attack against Ukraine in 2022. But, previously, money sent to Ukraine using Russia's holdings had exclusively been drawn from profits and interest earned on them.

Sir Keir told Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were aligned in their aim to push forward toward using the total worth of the frozen Moscow's national assets to conclude the conflict.

He stated that more measures in the coming days and weeks would heighten the tension on Moscow.

This declaration is subsequent to EU representatives gathered in Copenhagen last week to discuss employing immobilized Russia's assets for a €140bn credit to the Ukrainian nation.

In the previous month, President Donald Trump called on G7 allies to confiscate or otherwise use frozen Russian funds, as reported by news outlets.

The value of seized Russia's assets in the Europe is assessed to be nearly €211bn.

The Russian government launched large-scale aerial attacks all over Ukraine on Friday, leading to electricity outages in many areas of Kyiv, the city, and several other zones.

Two people were lost their lives and at least 20 people were injured in the assault, authorities in Ukraine said.

In a message on X subsequent to the incident, Zelensky wrote that the cynical and calculated attack focused on non-military and power facilities.

"What's needed is not just talk but concrete steps - from the America, the European Union, and the seven nations - in supplying defense mechanisms and implementing penalties," he emphasized.

"Each restrictive measure undermines Moscow's military apparatus," Zelensky declared, in a different message.

In the same period, Zelensky told media outlets he would urge Sir Keir to enter the Purl scheme, under which Nato countries acquire military equipment from the United States to give to Ukraine.

While applauding the Britain's strong support for Ukraine, he remarked it should send a clear signal that it would engage in the program, as well as apply additional measures on Russia.
