The Red Devils Set to Sign Germany Forward Lea Schüller away from the Bavarian Giants
The Women's Super League club are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific Germany forward Lea Schüller in a permanent move from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.

The forward, with six months left on her contract, is known as a prolific goal-getter for both club and country. She has netted over 100 goals for Bayern and found the net 54 times in 82 caps for her country. This signing is viewed as a major coup for the Women’s Super League team.
Her exit from Bayern has been anticipated since she was seen holding back emotions while applauding the club's fans after a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
Reports in late December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was set to lose one of its top forwards. Per reports, all the paperwork for the move have now been completed.
Reliable Goal Threat to Strengthen United's Forward Line
The experienced striker's arrival is expected to provide a significant boost to United’s forward line. She has been remarkably reliable with her finishing in the Bundesliga.
- Over seven consecutive seasons, up to and including the most recent campaign, she achieved at least a double-figures tally of league goals.
- She claimed the Golden Boot in the 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals.

Securing Schüller’s signature coincides with a period when United seem to be building momentum.

- The contract extension for Japan playmaker Hinata Miyazawa, a fan favourite since arriving in 2023.
